Chris called for humility from all political parties for their records on defence on BBC Radio 4 this morning. The Coalition cut defence spending. Some soldiers died unnecessarily in Iraq and Afghanistan under the last Labour government due to atrocious equipment at the outset, including possibly one of his friends. We live in a different world with a Great Power attacking Europe and need a path to increase defence spending to 2.5%.
